newbie_fish is on a distinguished road
Hi all, I'm a newbie here, newbie to use fluent either. Now I'm trying to modelling a hydrofoil for my projects. I use NACA foil 16309 for the model. My questions is, how to set the boundary condition for hydrofoil, because as far as I get the tutorial is about airfoil. I've tried use the condition from airfoil but never met the Cl and Cd as I expected compare to my theoretically calculation. Please if anyone know how to solve this problem? Let assume the flow is inviscid. Furthermore, I also concerning how to set the hydrofoil depth from the water surface? Foil area (can we input this value on reference value tables?), foil span? Anything which related to this information will highly appreciated.
Oh, once more, my aim is to obtain the Cl and Cd on several angle of attack.
Thank you anyway

:cheers
