can y plus be used to calculate the distance between cell centroid and wall

Hi, all.
sorry it's me again.

I need the distance to calculate other things. I tried the C_WALL_DIST(c,t) macro, but it seems I get wrong results, so I wander if I can use y plus to get the distance.
Quote:

A non-dimensional wall distance for a wall-bounded flow can be defined in the following way:
y+=[distance*(wall shear stress/density)^0.5]/kinematic viscosity
Best.
