Hi All,
I am creating a sliding mesh for an outboard propeller in order to understand how the downstream velocity profile works. I have done quite a bit of research into tutorials and past work in order to understand how this model works, but it just seems to not be working and the liquid is flowing past/around the rotating volume. Boundary Conditions in use are as follows: Tank outlet = outflow is 1 Fluid= water Model: K-epsilon realisation model with standard wall functions Velocity at tank inlet is 0.04m/s (z-axis), Hydraulic Diameter= 0.217m^2, Intensity=5% Rotating domain: rotation in z-axis =3000rpm Solution method is coupled with standard pressure Interfaces have also been set around the rotating volume. I have attached pictures. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is for my thesis. Cheers Stacy |
