Hi,
I am trying to simulate premixed combustion in micro-combustor (18mm X 8mm X 3mm). When I use k-epsilon model then combustion is not happening, but when I try it with Reynolds Stress Model(RSM) then it is giving results.
I have read that RSM is used in circulating flow. Is it okay to use RSM in micro-combustion?
Anyone is here who can guide me?

Thank you in advance

The RSM model is generally much more powerful than any of the two equation models. In general, there aren't any situations where the two equation models are valid, that they RSM model can't do better. Just be careful because RSM is not well-benchmarked across a wide range of flow scenarios.

But I don't think RSM model is part of the problem or solution for no combustion. I think you just need to check your combustion model. The only thing that changed is the turbulence model, the turbulence-chemistry model is more or less the same and the combustion model is the same, RSM does not affect these.

@LuckyTran Thank you for your suggestions. I will go ahead with this model and check results with experimental values.
