Mesh deformation in ANSYS Fluent DDPM

Dear Friends,
I want to ask one fundamental question. My question is mesh deformation/ mesh dynamic is possible or not in ANSYS Fluent DDPM simulation [for multiphase flow: liquid/gas and solid particle]. I want to deform the mesh in ANSYS Fluent DDPM.
Thankyou:)

I have done both of them separately. Try it out and let us know if they work together.

Message me to discuss if necessary. Good luck.

Friend, thanks for reply, i am not able to understand the means of "I have done both of them separately" pls explain in detail about this...Have you did mesh deforming by UDF or without udf and second you applied it for in Eulerian or Eulerian-Lagrangian ...
Thankyou

Hi,

What I meant was I have done DDPM simulations and mesh deformation separately although, I have never done a simulation with both of them in it.

For mesh deformation I use profiles and for DDPM I use UDFs.

You applied mesh deformation in case of multiphase or in one phase [E-E or E-L]. Also, for the same problem you have applied mesh deformation and DDPM separately or your, both problems were different?

Mine were totally unrelated cases, although when you read through the user guide you will notice this:

24.1.2.3. Limitations on Using the Discrete Phase Model with Other ANSYS Fluent Models

- Surface injections will be moved with the mesh when a sliding mesh or a moving or deforming mesh is being used, however only those surfaces associated with a boundary will be recalculated. Injections from cut plane surfaces will not be moved with the mesh and will be deleted when remeshing occurs.

Dear Friend, i am simply want to know, how did you deform the mesh for your case
Thanks

I did it in a multiphase VOF model. I followed the 2D box falling in water tutorial and other sources.
