Multiply viscous dissipation with some constant in energy equation in fluent.

Hey!!
I need to multiply viscous dissipation term with a factor of 0.4( or say is as efficiency factor) and the resulting term should be further used as effective viscous dissipation term in further numerical calculations in fluent.

I searched a lot but could not find a way to implement this in fluent whereas several research papers that I am referring have implemented this in fluent.

Kindly help me in implementing this in fluent. Help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm working with viscous dissipation as well. Could you give more info on your model and such. Also, can you tell me what papers you are referring to that have implemented this.

Hey!
I am modelling Friction Stir Welding in ansys Fluent and according to several research papers the viscous term is multiplied by a factor of 0.01-0.1 since viscous dissipation depends upon atomic mixing which is not good in FSW. The papers I am referring to are:
1. Three-dimensional heat and material flow during friction stir welding
of mild steel
2. Thermal energy generation and distribution in friction stir welding
of aluminum alloys

If you get a solution to my problem, please let me know.
