Hi

In the article generally was worked dimensionless number.

When I work fluent. I change the fluid properties to obtaining the these

dimensionless number.

My question is related to nusselt.

Is there any difference dimensionless Average Nusselt Number (in the article) and average nusselt number that I was calculated in the ansys fluent. How can I compare these result.

Thank you in advance.

What article are you referring to?

Be careful, because in Fluent the reference properties for the Reynolds number and Nusselt number are explicitly declared in the reference values pane. Even if you change the actual material properties (like density, conductivity, etc) in the materials pane, you still need to specify the reference values.

The reason is that the density in Reynolds number and conductivity in Nusselt number are somewhat arbitrary reference properties, that need not correspond to the real material properties. So the reference values are not automatically computed, they are user specified. Also note the reference temperature that is buried in the heat transfer coefficient.

Thank you I understand. I added picture. This work related natural convection in square cavity with porous medium. How can I calculate average nusselt number left wall. How I use ansys fluent post processing.

Thank you in advance.
