Hej,
I am working on battery cooling. Is it possible to solve fluent battery module with cooling channels i.e., battery heat generation using MSMD module and cooling it using channels. I could manage to get the case running , but there is no heat generation in the battery. I think it is not working because of the shadow wall which are created when I imported to fluent. I think the UDS boundary conditions are not getting applied on those walls. Did anyone work on this before. Is it possible to solve this ?? Any help is appreciated!! Thanks in advance, Regards, Rajukiran |

I have recently joined the forum and just seen your post. I am doing a project related to battery cooling on fluent using the MSMD model too. I am having the same problem as you have. I think I've managed to obtain good results without the cooling channels. But, when I apply the cooling channels on the battery, the results are clearly incorrect. A bunch of new interfaces as well as "shadow walls" are automatically created by Fluent. And same, I have managed to get the case running (for a shorter number of iterations though) and the battery does not seem to have any heat generation (the temperature is constant all over the battery cell). Moreover, it seems like that when I apply the cooling channels, their cross-section is removed from the battery cell region, making its cross-sectional area smaller. Did you ever manage to solve this problem? I would really appreciate your help! (or if anyone in the forum has suggestions ) Let me know! Thanks. Tom |
