Vortex induced vibration
 

Is there anyone who can help me out in numerical simulation of vortex induced vibration of 2D circular cylinder in Ansys fluent.....plzzzz:o:confused:

Sir, I'm using structured mesh(quad elements) with a circular domain and the main problem where I'm stuck is negative volume in dynamic mesh.

Try to first define a structured region, containing 3-5 layers around the cylinder. and the rest of the domain unstructured. In this way while specifying the moving zones in dynamic mesh, just select the area of structured domain and cylinder wall for motion. Check in preview mesh motion if you are getting correct behaviour, also adjust the Scale info
