Hello everybody,

I am currently studying a flow in a 90 degrees bent pipe, that is closed at one side (resonator). The flow boundary that I have is a pressure inlet, where I define a transient pressure profile for it (Sinusoidal wave).

As a sanity check, I am writing an output surface monitor file at the pressure inlet boundary, yet I am getting a different profile than my input.

It is worth mentioning that I am using double precision solver. My profile is having a resolution equal to my time step.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

KS

I found the problem...it is the reversed flow through the single inlet/outlet boundary of my domain!

So, what did you do? Did you extend your domain?

No, I did not. I was just puzzled why the monitor at the boundary is not showing the profile I defined, which as I said was due to the reversed flow through the single inlet/outlet boundary of my domain.

Cheers,

Karim
