DPM Particle Mass Calculation

Is it possible to get just the total mass of particles on a 2D surface? I'm doing Eulerian-Larangian particle transport modeling of a wave tank and trying to find how much particles (in kg) was transported through some pipes into one side of a tank.

Hi, do you mean in a particular time interval or just in some instant? You could get the total particle mass per cell in a given flow field by taking the dpm concentration times the cell volume, but that is not so neat. maybe its better to post-process particle history data, e.g. filter according to position and get the sum of all the interesting parcel masses?
Cheers, M.

Hi thank you so much for the suggestion. I actually have lab data for 56 hours but I guess I could easily do with some constant. The main issue I'm facing right now is how much the simulation time should be to get a constant of the transfer.
