Question Anisotropic thermal conductivity

I do not understand the anisotropic thermal conductivity.
The definition in Fluent states that the heat flux in the x direction includes effects of the temperature gradients in the y and z directions. How can the temperature gradients in the y and z directions affect the heat flux in the x direction?
