CFD free vortex -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Klavoir New Member Join Date: Sep 2021 Posts: 22 Rep Power: 4	Hi, I want to simulate the drainage of a circular vessel and the free vortex that forms. I want to use VOF model. I can see tutorials of forced vortex modeling (so when the vessel is rotating which induces a vortex e.g., then this is a parabolic profile of the surface). In the case of free vortex the profile will be hyperbolic. Has anyone experience modeling this or references for that to help me?
