Dear All,

I want to simulate the flow around a displacement ship hull with trim and sinkage using Ansys Fluent. In the dynamic mesh settings, i have to enter the the center of gravity location (x, y and z component).

In my understanding, the Center of Flotation is "the pivot point about which the boat changes trim" and that this point is located "somewhat abaft the Center of Buoyancy," which itself is "in line vertically with the center of gravity."

So should i use the Center of Flotation location instead of center of gravity location?

Thanks in advance
