Hello group I'm starting with fluent ansys studio. I have a project to simulate a wing profile. In Ansys / Fluent / Bondary and conditions.
I have questions about how to enter a profile attack angle. I have the component specification method: in which I have to specify velocity values for x - and how should I specify an angle of attack of the profile? |

Angle of attack is just the angle between the oncoming velocity and some type of chord definition.
One easy way is to put the velocity coming in straight (normal to the inlet) and then position your blade accordingly. But regardless. Whenever you put your blade, you just specify the x,y,z coordinates of the velocity at the inlet so that the velocity direction makes the right angle of attack. This is the easiest part and most straightforward. The inlet is not the problem. It's the other BC's and outlet that will give you some numerical trouble because what is not straightforward is what the heck is a freestream boundary condition. |
