I am trying to study a single particle flow in straight tube with fluid as water. I am using DDPM in fluent to solve this. I tried validating the particle flow of size (5 microns) in a vessel of dia: 0.2cm and length: 1cm with inlet and outlet pres of 3000 Pa and 0 Pa. Fluid has density and viscosity of water. Problem is in validation. I tired to increase the particle size and check its influence on particle velocity. I can see that with the increase in particle size, the particle velocity decreases. But in comparison with the theory equation, the difference in the margin of decrease in particle velocity is very less in simulation.
Can you please help me to give some inputs such that I can solve my problem faced at moment. I have attached the check file also for better clarity. Thanks |
