Hey everybody !
I would like to change the used UDF in an existing Fluent model. I can compile the new UDF (load/build) successfully but during the calculation the following message apears... source_gaussian = name of the compiled UDF chip-exec: function "source_gaussian" not found Does anybody knows why ? |

Did you change the name of your UDF? If so, you need to re-hook it, using the new, correct, name. You also may want to unload first the old library, before building and loading a new one.

Hey,
thanks for your answer but even after loading the new one, saving all of it..it is not working... somehow the old udf is saved somewhere in the memory of the file... maybe in the user defined memory ? |

Hence some of my questions: did you change the name of the UDF? And did you unload the old library? You can also always just manually remove the old libudf, i.e., not just unloading it but deleting the library-folder.
What kind of UDF file is it? What macro are you using? |

Hey KevinZ09
I want to use the model on an linux cluster. On this cluster there is a new libudf folder with the new UDF (it has a new name) I copied the old model from my desktop to my cluster folder. Once i open the model on the cluster, it always gives me the error : Error : File laser doesn´t exist Error : Object #f Since the copied model wants to open the (on the cluster folder) not availabe old udf.. How to delete the old UDF -> functions/manage ? |

To unload a library, go to: User-Defined --> Functions --> Manage --> and select the library you want to unload and click unload.
But again, if you've hooked it somewhere in your simulation, you need to remove it from there too. Hence why I asked which macro you're using. |
