Fan equation in Fluent ?
 

HI everyone,

I am quite new to Fluent, and I am trying to find resources concerning Fluent :

So in Fluent, you can use the Fan condition to impose a pressure jump at the intersection between two cells. I have used this with success, but I am wondering what method they are using to enforce this jump.

After reading the literature on the subject, I found that three options are possible : forcing the variable values, adding a specific flux or adding a specific source term.

I have read the manual and I have not been able to find which solution have been selected by Fluent. I am trying to develop this capacity for my own code, and I would like to use the same in order to be able to compare my results with Fluent.

Do you know of a resource that would have this information ? Or even better, explain how it is implemented and what is the theory behind it ?
