Problem about "reverse flow" in an open channel

Hi sir, i need your help. I am facing problem of reverse flow on many faces in my domain while using FLUENT. My domain consists of an open channel(free surface at top) with vegetation elements in it. I don't know how to resolve this problem of reverse flow. Kindly help me out.
