Mass Flow Rate

Hi everyone! I'm new to fluent and im practicing with some simple exercises. I would like to ask you what's the meaning of this plot :

Are these the plot of continuity equation? Or what?

Are these someone else's plot? Unfortunately without further details they don't really mean anything.

Someone has plotted the mass-flow rate on some arbitrary surface using a surface monitor. However, we don't know what type of averaging it is. I'm also not sure why a surface monitor is used and not a flux report.

Finally it is plotted for vs flow-time and vs iteration on two separate plots for two different simulations. The top is transient and the bottom is a steady simulation.

That's all it means.

You can imagine I show you a waveform and ask you what it means... It could be anything. It could be the prices in the stock market or it could be my haertbeat.

Hi , i'm trying to do the chapter 6 of the fluent tutorial guide at page 257 : https://www.google.it/url?sa=t&rct=j...qEhLA00ozzMKlQ

As you said one plot is for the steady solution and one for the transient solution . I'd like to know the physical meaning of these charts. Thanks
