Hi everyone,

I have a very simple case and I want to analyize the impact of the turbulent Schmidt number on the solution.

I want to try turbulent Schmidt numbers from 0.1 to 1 using a journal file.

I have an already initialized case and I tried
'
rcd <start case>

(rpsetvar' species/sct 0.1)

sol/it 1000
wcd <case with sct 0.1>

(rpsetvar' species/sct 0.2)
sol/it 1000
wcd <case with sct 0.2>

...'

I checked the files and the turbulent Schmidt Number changed in the Viscous settings (k-w-SST) during the run. The problem is that the changing of the Schmidt number via TUI has no impact on the calculation.
Whenever I change the Schmidt Number manually in the GUI it does affect the calculation.

I think this is pretty strange. Does someone have a solution?

Sounds like a bug that you should report to customer support.

check spelling
was
Code:
(rpsetvar' species/sct 0.1)
should be
Code:
(rpsetvar 'species/sct 0.1)
however, this may not be the reason
best regards

Thanks, you are right. But this is not the reason and does not solve the problem. However, it is possible to write a journal-file which changes the Schmidt-number in the GUI. So it works now. Thanks anyway!
