Ejector Simulation

Hi Everyone!

Good day!

I am having a hard time doing a simulation on ejector to create vacuum. The ejector's primary fluid is water and entrained gas (air) and disposed it to ambient condition. So, the ejector have two inlets. One for water which is used to create the jet. The other one is for the air being sucked. One pressure outlet operating at ambient condition.

The water jet operates at 75 m/s (2.5 MPa) while the second inlet is at -9.6 kPa (required vacuum to be attained).

I have tried creating my geometry and got mesh qualities of minimum orthogonality of 0.91 and aspect ratio of 9.6

The simulation was carried out using mixture model of two Eulerian species. water and air. Water properties are set constant while air is set as an ideal gas (density only while the rest are constant). Energy equation is on. Turbulent model is k-e with standard wall function.

pressure velocity coupling method were tried with SIMPLEC (Liao, 2008), PISO, and Coupled. with convergence parameters set as second order upwind, except volume as QUICK.

I could not find the solution for this problem.
Do I need to use UDF codes for water anhd air properties? For volume fraction? For boundary conditions?

I am really lost in this problem. I am new to Fluent.

Please help.
