I gave it another try with Ansys version 18 on Opensuse leap 42.1 and got it running -kind of-. The hints here were helpful: ANSYS Workbench on "Uncertified" Linux Distros
Fluent (and Ansys Workbench) work like a charm in serial. It also seems to be working in parallel. Fluent starts up, I can run a case and get significant speedup from additional cores. However, when starting fluent the TUI gets spammed with messages like this one: Quote:
What causes these messages, what exactly do they mean and how can I get rid of them? |

Hey,
Although this is ages old, did you manage to figure out the reason behind this error message? I have installed a fresh 2019R1 on Centos 7.6 and this message appears. Not sure if it affects anything but I would like to know the cause of it. I have not seen the same error message on our Ubuntu based boxes. |
