p1nkman is on a distinguished road
Hello, I am trying to model a solar load model in ANSYS Fluent consisting of three parts attached in parallel (cover, roof and insulation).

However when I want to setup the model there are a lot of new walls and contact regions appearing. Can anyone suggest me a way so that I can define the roof as well as the insulation while eliminating those contact regions/unwanted walls? I have tried to generate using boolean and imprint face in the DesignModeler, however that leaves me with a very small portion of the roof, not allowing me to select the whole face.

The model has been designed in Solidworks and imported as a parasolid. I have attached the picture of the model and the named selections I want to do for reference.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks for reading!
