Problem with water tank stratification.

Hello

I'm trying to perform an analysis of stratification in tank filled completely with water.

There are two pressure outlets, one on the top of tank and second at the bottom.
There is one velocity-inlet in the middle of tank(with 60 Celsius). Starting temperature is 10 Celsius. The problem is close to uniform temperature distribution across whole tank- as shown on the picture.

I'm using transient analysis, I turned on gravity, as for models Energy equation is on, I use realizable k-e, water properties are defined using piecewise-linear.
Solution method is SIMPLE.

Any ideas why there is no stratification in resaults ?

Best Regards
Lukas

I tried to set up second, simplified simulation (2D, with simplified geometry and smaller time step),and I got resaults as shown on the picture. I would seem as the hot water is going to the bottom instead of top of tank.

I got properties of water from this page:
http://www2.bren.ucsb.edu/~dturney/W...100Celcius.pdf

I also checked it on some others.

Thanks in advance
Lukasz
