Hallo team i am from university of thesally (Greece) in Centaurus racing team (FSAE).
I started 5 months ago with CFD on ansys for the intake system and i would like to make a CFD with air filter! Any suggestions?

There are in general three possible approaches. Which one is suitable depends on the kind of result you need.
1) Macroscopic: the filter is modeled as a porous block 2) Mesoscopic: the filter is modeled at the pleat level, but the filter is still a porous medium 3) Microscopic: the filter is represented by the micro-structure of the individual filter fibers. |
