Hi, I am practicing Ansys Fluent and wanted to simulate a Mach 3 flow over a forward-facing step. It seems like a relatively simple problem but my solutions don't want to converge. I am still new so I am probably doing something wrong. I am following the problem statement described in the paper by Woodward (Mach 3, and geometry as shown here). My mesh splits the geometry into 6300 elements.

As far as problem setup, I am using a Pressure-Based Solver and Steady in time. I turned the Energy Equation on and Viscous - Laminar. The Boundary Conditions is the part that I am not too sure about. I chose the step, top, and bottom surface to be a wall. The inlet is set as a Velocity-Inlet with a Velocity of 1020.97 m/s (Mach 3) and a Gauge Pressure of 101325 Pa. The Outlet is a Pressure-Outlet with the same Gauge Pressure of 101325 Pa. I left the Operating Pressure Condition as 0 Pa. Were these the right choice?

For my solution method, I left it as the default (new to CFD so I am still learning all these schemes) SIMPLE scheme with a Least Squares Gradient with everything as a second order discretization. I left everything else as is and these are the residuals I am getting...

Does anyone know where I went wrong with my problem? Thanks in advance
