Hello everybody,
I am calculating the electromagnetic field with ANSYS Classic and export it to ANSYS Fluent. I often need to change the mesh for optimization issues and I have to do it in the ANSYS Classic model. After exporting the mesh again to Fluent, I need to adjust all parameters again (model, zones, monitors, cell zone conditions, boundary conditions etc.). Is it possible that Fluent saves these parameters when I import a new mesh? Best regards h0rst |

If I got it right, are you loading a new case?

The case is the same, I just import a new geometry (mesh) from Ansys mechanical APDL.

Since you have your case saved, what you can do is replace your mesh, by selecting Read > Mesh, and then replace it.

You can also save a settings file using the text interface. File=>write-settings and then read this settings file into your new case. But this method can fail for example when you re-name a zone as it doesn't know what settings go to what zone.
Your best bet is to just write a journal file to set all the settings. |
