hi .. i am modeling a flameless combustion and i have lots of problems with residuals ,,,
anyway.. I have a question about changing URF ... is it ture to change my URF during solution ? or I have to restart my calculation with new URF? is there any changes in my answer ? thanks |

You can change URF during solution if you wish. Lower URFs increase the stability of the solution procedure (by blending in part of the previous iteration solution into the new one), but slow down the rate of convergence. In principle, the outcome is not affected if the solution converges. (although too high URFs may cause the solution to divergence of course) It's up to you to find a good trade-off between speed and stability
