Dear fluent users,
I am modelling a heat exchanger which has hot gas flowing in a innerpipe and a phase change material (PCM) is placed between the inner pipe and outer pipe. I have made sure there is coupling effect between the hot gas and the inner pipe as well as inner pipe and the PCM. The flow inlet is kept at 498 K and the PCM is suppose to melt at a temperature of 391 K. However, i see that the heat goes constant at 380 K at the inner pipe and never rises even if i let it simulate for longer time. But when i change the hot gas by water as the fluid. It dose the work of melting which means enough heat is being transferred from the fluid to the innerpipe. So, i wanted to know if anyone has a solution to this problem. Thank you in Advance.* |
