Fluent failing to read periodic mesh in parallel

I have a periodic mesh created in ICEM which reads fine when in serial, but when I switch to parallel I get a SIGSEGV error and am unable to read it.

I'm wondering whether I should be using different partitioning settings for a periodic mesh that I might have missed? It's not something I've really had to look at before so any guidance is useful.

The anything-to-Fluent interpreter is not perfect. Namely, the "periodic" property set by the pre-processor is not the same as the periodic BC in Fluent.

Have you tried? Read the mesh into Fluent in serial. Save it. Then read it in parallel?

Or remove the periodic setting from ICEM and just keep them as walls or whatever. Then read the mesh into Fluent and make those boundaries periodic in Fluent, not in ICEM.

Reading the mesh in serial, saving the case and then opening in parallel seems to work at the moment so I could continue like that?

I guess I was using the periodic settings in ICEM to try and make sure that the mesh was conformal, do you think it could be worth trying without that to see if I get anything better?
