Hello, I'm trying simulate a T8 cascade test in Fluent, but the shock wave is dissipating in fluid who causes the maximum Mach number lower than expected.

The boundary conditions who i used are:
-Inviscid flow;
-Energy is on;
-Steady state;
-Pressure inlet: 43.842 Pa;
-Temperature: 292 K;
-Pressure outlet: 23.080 Pa;
-Periodicity in the blade channel;
-Operating Conditions: 0 Pa.

In the solver i used density-based, in the solution method i tried to use implicit-AUSM. The spatial discretization in gradient is setted as Least squares cell based. Initially, i run calculation to the flow as first order upwind and when the solution is converged i changed that to the second order.

The mesh was checked and the quality is ok! I used the same mesh and case to an in-house program (this program is validated) and i obtained a good resolution of shock wave.
Can someone help me?

Thanks everyone,

Ana

picture might be help to figure out problem.

did you use same mesh for the two solvers?

how about adapt mesh near shockwave

I'm working as a Turbine. I used the same mesh in both solver. I did not try to use the adaptative mesh.

In picture shown what is happening.
