Hi,

I'm studying the flow past a shrouded turbine at a constant angle of attack see attached picture. What reference area should be given to FLUENT for lift and drag coefficients? What should be the reference length for calculating Reynolds number?

Thanks.

Pressure coefficient, pressure drag, skin friction, viscous coefficient will all be calculated according to the exposed external surface.
That means you need the calculate the projected area of your geometry for lift and drag coefficients.
Characteristic length for Reynolds is dependent on the geometry of your enclosure.
You can find more on this link. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reynolds_number
