Question Tracking one single particle with FLUENT

Hi folks. I'd need your help once again.


I managed to simulate the gas flow of my rotating cylinder.




I now intend to release ONE SINGLE particle for the whole duration of the simulation and to track its trajectory.
Thereafter, I want to plot the position of that particle (X,Y,Z) as a function of time.


I am aware of the general instructions (such as activating the Discrete Phase Model and displaying the particle track) but I am unable to set my specific model up.

In discrete phase, you can choose your injection type to single - try that.
If it does not work you can read in the helping file which injection type fit you the best.

Just be aware that the FLUENT calculate the particles injection as parcels.
In particles track you can choose "step by step" to export your parameter.
