UDF for fully developed flow at inlet
 

Hi all :)

I created a UDF code to make the flow at inlet fully developed for a 3d circular cross section pipe to be modelled in LES. The pipe is 12 inch diameter and the speed is 13 m/s at inlet.

I need to verify it and cross check with any similar works done in the past in published papers or reports.

Let me know your suggestions.

Fully developed laminar or turbulent inlet? Since you mention LES, it seems to suggest turbulent.

The laminar profile is parabolic like and quite doable but the turbulent profile is not known, unless you know it?

It is turbulent flow, what do you mean unknown. I know the flow speed at inlet
