Proportional valve analysis

i start working on new project.
The main problem is proportional valve in my pumping system decrease volume flow rate so much.

Volume flow rate without proportional valve is 77 Lt/min
after proportional valve volume flow rate becomes 66 Lt/min

I want to make analysis in fluent but i have no idea how i can do it.because in my system, according to condition of proportional valve, performance of gear pump changes and this effects volume flow rate of system.

Please share your kindly ideas.

Usually one does these kind of analysis outside of fluent and only use fluent to calculate the valve loss. In order to calculate the system flow you need knowledge of

1. The pump performance (Pump head curve)

2. Knowledge about static head between system inlet and outlet

3. Knowledge about flow resistance of all other components.

In your case you have indirect knowledge about 3, other system losses, but you need the pump curve and, from your CFD-calculations, the valve loss for different valve openings.

Edit: the description of the system curves is mixed up. The red curve is the system curve with the valve
