I've used a Gaussian distribution function with a time based mean value parameter to simulate heat from DLD (laser welding) in a structural analysis before, where the laser was welding the outside diameter of the back hub of an impeller. Used the width factor to account for laser beam diameter. Perhaps you can set you UDF up in a similar way.

Could you please provide more info on how to build and UDF. What should be supposed to do after I meshed the model? Please mention the steps and procedure. Thanks in advance. |
