Ice formation

Hey everyone,

I am trying to simulate the ice formation in a single pipe. The wall is at -5 C, and the water in the pipe enters at 20 C and flows at a constant flow rate.

1. I don't know how to set up the problem. Should I use the multyphase model, or the solidification/melting model?

I am trying with the solidification/melting, but I have some questions:

2. To define the materials, I need to define water-liquid and water-ice? Or only one of them? If I define only one, for example the water-liquid, how can I define the change of properties when it changes of phase? How does Ansys takes into account that when the water solidifies into ice it changes its properties if I can't enter this properties when I define the water-liquid?

Any more recommendations for simulating this problem?

Thanks!!
