im modeling sofc with fluent. and i have got some results. but there is some unanswered questions to me.
1-the ohmic heat transfer in the electrolyte is exactly zero ! but as we know its ohmic loss = i_ion*sigma_electrolyte 2- as i know electrolyte in the sofc is non-porous ceramic. if we activate fluid for electrolyte zone it gets it porous. how can i deal with it? 3-about sigma ( electrical counductivity). is it effective or the main number that we input in the fluent? thanks |

hi. thanl u for reply. iam modeling SOFC on Fluent. as u know ther is 2 way for modeling SOFC on fluent. first " fuel cell and electrolysis" addon module (3) that consists of pemfc , sofc, and electrolysis. and second, "sofc unresolved electrolyte". what is the different between these modules and if u have some experince to do this. please help me to know the difference exactly.
