!!!Need help!!!
I am working on catalytic converter in fluent. I am modeling CO oxidation over platinum washcoat. So while modeling surface reaction I need to know whether I can just use single global reaction of CO oxidation: CO + 0.5O2 --> CO2 and specifying Pt as site species ( or) should I use detailed global reaction with surface species : CO + Pt -->CO(s) O2 + Pt --> O(s) O(s) + CO(s) --> CO2 |

Hello Porsche,
You need to implement detailed elementary surface reactions for CO oxidation on Pt surface site. Impose thermodynamic datas, Arrhenius parameters with surface site density to move on for your solution.. Good luck |

Hi #Kummi.
Thanks for your reply. I also would like to know whether can we input sticking coefficient in fluent for adsorption reactions. |

Hello Porsche,
In Fluent, we cant input sticking coefficient value, however you can furnish initial surface coverage, coverage dependent reaction value and surface site density. *Sticking coefficient can be inserted in surface elementary reactions alone Thank you^^ |
