Hi,
does anyone know what SGS model is employed in the DES simulation in FLUENT. I cant find anything in the theory guide. |

Hi,
with DDES model, it can be shown by Under equilibrium turbulence conditions (production = dissipation), DDES models reduces to Smagorinsky sgs model. It is the case for SST DDES. For k-epsilon, I don't really know but I guess it is the same thing. You can find it in the SDES part of the theory guide 4.12.2 for the R18 version of Fluent. François |
