Dear all,
I am trying to find a transition point over a surface in within the flow domain. Is this possible within Fluent? Furthermore, I get the idea that by employing a turbulence model, in Fluent, this means that the whole domain is assumed to be turbulent (I'm using a k-eps model) meaning that a transition point does not exist. I could not find any info on this within the descriptions of the different turbulence models. Cheers! |

There are two turbulent models (RANS models) in fluent which could predict transition point:
- transition k-kl-omega (3eqn) - transition SST (4eqn) I have experience of using SST model. For more details google "intermittency" keyword Best regards |
