CFD simulation of aerosol jet
Hello CFD users,
I am trying to recreate the CFD animation of aerosol jet flow, something similar to the images shown in the link below. Is it possible in Ansys Fluent? I know how to compute discrete particle paths using Fluent, but I am not sure how to generate transient images showing just the particles only. If Fluent does not have this feature, then I can also use Star-CCM+ for the same. I am going to post the same message under Siemens as well, just to see if I can get any response. Thanks in advance https://www.sciencedirect.com/scienc...32591017301596 |
Re:
you can create the particle flow images as shown in that paper easily if you have access to Ensight or Tecplot. Save case and data files from fluent. Read them into your post processing tool and generate the images without the track lines. You can also export out particle track files from Fluent and read them into Matlab. If you face problem in writing Matlab code, then send me a particle track file and I will send you a sample code.

Thank you for the help

I only know that it's heavily advertised on the product brochure for Fluent v19 (some sort of Lagrangian particle tracking of a spray model). But I've never done it myself.
