Difference between External and Internal flow radiation problems

Hello everyone,
1) My topic of research is regarding flare gas dispersion into atmosphere – schematic model in Fig. 1. The methane fuel emitted from the flare gas is assumed to be completely combusted before releasing from the flare tower height, which leaves the product CO2 and H2O, at the flare inlet. So, there is no source term in species equation. The solution to figure out the difference between with and without radiation cases is obtained by variation in temperature (Energy equation), but I couldn’t able to find the difference due to the effect of radiation in my case (Fig. 2). P1 radiation contours in Fig. 3

2) My flare gas analysis is external radiation problem. But, in internal flow radiation problems like gas turbine combustor, we can notice apparent variations of radiation by temperature contour.

On the whole, can someone explain me:
(I) What is the exact difference between external and internal flow radiation problems and approach in FLUENT?:confused:

(II) How to figure out the difference in effect of radiation in external flow ATMOSPHERIC radiation problem, which I couldn’t able to solve in my flare gas analysis.

*The flow is simple with no UDF – not implemented Monin–Obukhov similarity theory (constant atmospheric temperature)
