hi,
Does anybody know how to model humidity in fluent? I understand that the species transport has to be implemented but it is not clear how to set up the model.

I have a humidifier here and I want to know the RH of the surrounding air and moisture level of a wall.

temperature is around 40 degree Celsius, RH is around 40 - 60%.

I need some guide please.
Thank you very muchhh.

Hi Jian,

You need to define a mixture through the Species model and define proper species in the material menu (i.e. Air and water vapor). Moreover, you need to assign a proper mass fraction of water vapor based on RH and T at the inlet(s) (easily can read from the psychrometric chart).

Thanks for your guide. I have tried it and it worked.

But I wondering why the relative humidity on the wall is all the same as I thought it should be different humidity on different session of the wall.

If you share a figure illustrating your computational domain and boundary conditions maybe I can help to find out the problem.

I'm doing a humidity field analysis of the atomization of the nozzle. The atomization field is a cylinder with a length of 1 m and a diameter of 0.1 m, with walls on both sides and an outlet on the bottom. I would like to ask, how to set this boundary condition, and how to add humidity? I currently use the combined output model and the DPM model, but as a result, the mass fraction of water has always been zero. I'm confused, please. Thank you.

vinerm will become famous soon enough
I suppose Fluent has a standard tutorial for spray drying. Just search for it.
