Target Mass Flow in Pressure Outlet

When using a Pressure Outlet it is possible to specify "Target Mass Flow".
What meaning does the Gauge Pressure have which still has to be specified, when I understand the Pressure Outlet now tries to vary the pressure at this boundary in order to achieve the specified mass flow?

This value is taken as initial guess and fluent will automatically adjust this to achieve specified mass flow.

So it does not further affect the calculation?
