Propeller in a Pipe/Tube
 
Hello guys,

I have two questions for propeller in a straight pipe.

One of them is that the propeller has not initial angular velocity.It is affected by flow in a pipe.How can I find its angular velocity.

The other is that the propeller has a initial and constant angular velocity. Its origin and rotation axis should be on the main coordinate plane? or It could has random x,y,z and should I specify it in FLUENT?

a) In the more recent versions of fluent the sliding meshes can be driven by the flow with no additional UDF's. You just need to supply the moment of inertia of the object. Once the system is running you can extract data in the usual way.

b) As far as I'm aware you can specify it where ever you want but you need to ensure that you've set the coordinates correctly in fluent, it's generally easier on both set up and analysis to set it so it's at the origin and rotating around one axis though.

For a, it is ok. Really appreciated.

For b, the screenshot is attached. Rotation axis is simple and could be given basically, So is it necessary to define real X,Y dimension according to main origin
