Trees simulation in ANSYS Fluent

Hi guys,
I'm trying to simulate a tree canopy inside my ANSYS Fluent simulation. Up to now, I always did it by defining a volume with given inertial resistance and porosity validating against CODASC data.
But now I have to simulate actual trees, for which I can measure LAD. Now, I know how to come out with porosity

porosity = 1-[t/2*(LAI/h)]

where t=leaf thickness

h= height of the canopy

as reported in an old thread. (even if there were any references at all:confused:)

The problem is: how can I get any clue about inertial resistance?
Moreover, some of you guys know a better way to approach the problem?:confused: maybe I am looking from the wrong point of view..:)

Hi
Did you manage to solve this?
I used Darcy's law to arrive at the two coefficients, used to input in porous media window in Fluent domain condition.
