Default Incomplete particles during simulation of a hydrocyclone

MikeyB970 is on a distinguished road
Hi everyone,
I am currently trying to simulate various designs of hydrocyclone in order to find the best design in relation to separation efficiency.

After simulating the continuous phase on its own, I added a DPM surface injection on the inlet and resumed the calculation. This however, resulted in 3349/3668 particles reported as incomplete.

I have read on other posts that increasing the maximum number of steps can resolve this issue, but in my case it did not. I increased the maximum step number from 50000 to 200000 (step length factor of 5) and the results were still the same.

To see what was going on, I exported the particle tracks to CFD Post and it appears that the particles are travelling down to the conical section, where they begin to circle around the cone in a continuous loop and never escape with the exception of 2 or 3 particles.

I am new to Ansys Fluent, so I am not quite sure what else I can try to fix this problem.

Model: Steady state RSM with DPM
Boundary Conditins: Velocity inlet, 2x Pressure outlet (Underflow and Overflow) and the Wall is set to Reflect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards
Mikey
