Confusion about parallelizing a serial UDF
 

Hello, everyone.

I am working on a problem about parallelizing my serial UDF. I made some changes according to the ANSYS Help Documentation. Then I tried 2, 4 and 6 processes when parallelizing and it worked (same UDF code). But when I tried 8 processes, the initialization result was obviously wrong. I didn't figure out why it failed when I increased the processes number to eight. So, I post here for help. What's the possible reasons?

Now, it worked. I changed the display message macro "message0" and it printed right initialization result on the console. It was all zero before I made a change. But I did not encounter this problem when I used 4 or 6 processes.
